Border counties on screen

The Adaptation Festival – which claims to be “the only festival of cinema and literature in Ireland or Britain” – kicks off in Dromahair, Co Leitrim next Friday, November 5th. Utilising Cinema North West, a 100-seat touring cinema, the festival will focus particularly on work written or directed by artists from the Border regions.

Highlights include Shane Connaughton’s Run of the Country, Neil Jordan’s The Butcher Boy, Thaddeus OSullivan’s December Bride and Johnny Gogan’s Mapmaker. For further details phone 086-6049365.
