REELNEWS:Filmbase, the admirable resource centre for moviemakers, celebrates its 25th anniversary with a series of exciting events today.

The bash begins at 7pm in the body's venue in Temple Bar, Dublin, with a panel discussion entitled "Road to the Oscars".

Juanita Wilson, nominated for her short The Door, Nicky Phelan, honoured for the animation Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty, and Steph Green, director of New Boy, will all be in attendance.

Tomorrow evening, Saoirse Ronan will be in town for a public interview. See filmbase.ie for details.
