A hand-carved ivory bangle depicting exotic wildlife scenes with lions and gazelles is just one of the items for sale at the Dublin Castle antiques and collectables fair tomorrow. An early 20th century brass telescope with an adjustable wooden tripod, as well as a ship's lantern made of brass and copper, inscribed "not under command" (circa 1880), will be among the items of nautical interest.

The fair, which returns to Dublin Castle's Old Coach House following the Irish EU Presidency, will also include a collection of early Victorian smoothing irons, as well as a range of jewellery, china, linen and lace, silver, coins, medals and cameras. Doors open at 10.30 am.
