Wired for Lyric:Two actors from acclaimed TV series The Wire, Reg E Cathey (Norman Wilson)and Clarke Peters(Lester Freamon) will present The JK Ensembleon RTÉ Lyric FM today. The pair will sit in for John Kelly and play some of their favourite discs from 2.30pm.
Reeling in the kids:Irish Times contributor Brian O'Connell co-presents a new traditional music series beginning on RTÉ1 tonight. The Reel Deal, a seven-part series aimed at a younger audience, goes out at 7.30pm on Fridays.
Ant's on the march:Adam Ant is rumoured to be considering a comeback tour. A source claimed that the singer is looking into the possibility of returning to the live stage.
Disc Oasis:Oasis will release all eight of their albums on heavyweight vinyl next month. The full set will also be available in limited edition box form, with new artwork and sleevenotes, from July 10th.
