CORRECTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS

A report headed "Dunne's `largesse' to causes and individuals outlined" in yesterday's editions stated that the payments referred to in the article "were all covered by the terms of the Ethics in Public Office Act". In fact this statement was intended to refer only to payments to Charles Haughey's family. But in any event the statement is incorrect in that the Ethics and Public Office Act did not come into effect until July 22nd, 1995, which post dated the payments in question.
