A photograph of the Leinster Senior Schools' Cup semi-final in yesterday's editions was incorrectly captioned. It showed Hugh Passmore of St Columba's and Niall O'Carroll of Mount Temple.

In the Thursday Interview yesterday, John Simpson, in a reference to Bosnia, is quoted incorrectly as saying "I don't suppose the SAS, for all their evil, did these things." This should have read "I don't suppose the SS, for all their evil, did these things."

In yesterday's Dail report, the Fine Gael leader, Mr John Bruton, was reported as urging the Taoiseach to convey to the House of Commons the view that a link should be made between prisoner releases and arms decommissioning as part of the Belfast Agreement. In fact, Mr Bruton asked that the opposite message be conveyed. He said "the release of prisoners as planned in the Agreement should not be interfered with at this stage" and that "not to release prisoners before Christmas because decommissioning has not taken place would be very unhelpful".

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practi]cable.
