A report in Saturday's editions headed "Crisis in Dublin leaves students homeless" stated incorrectly that Mr Ross O'Daly was president of the Dublin Institute of Technology, which had 4,000 students. Mr O'Daly is president of DIT Students' Union, and DIT has 10,000 full-time students, 8,000 part-time students and 4,000 apprentices.

A transmission error in a report of Dublin's multi-racial soccer festival in yesterday's Sport supplement made it appear that the festival's organisers had been promised £320,000 by the EU, and had gone ahead with £35,000 in private sponsorship. In fact, the correct figures were £20,000 and £5,000 respectively.

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
