VERA Ryan, an a lecturer in Art History at the Crawford College of Art, has been appointed to the board of IMMA. She takes the place of Maurice Foley, who has been appointed chairman. Ryan is a board member of Cork Printmakers who, with Back, water Artists, have just received nearly 500,000 smackaroos in capital funding from the Department of Arts Culture and the Gaeltacht, for new workshops and studios. She is also a board member of the Everyman Palace Theatre, which is celebrating 100 years of trading this ear and will present Johnny Hanrahan's adaptation of William Trevor's Reading Turgenev from April 28th.
