Despite not releasing a decent record since 1981's Tattoo You, The Rolling Stones' Bigger Bang Tour (2005-2007) is the highest grossing tour of all time with $440 million earned.

The stage had a height of seven storeys, and a section of the giant stage could detach itself and "roll" out into the audience to produce a "B" stage.

The introduction to each show featured an extravagant firework display and all manner of computer- generated imagery wizardry. Usually opening with Jumping Jack Flash the tour set-lists relied on the band's treasured back catalogue alongside a smattering of new songs.

A Bigger Bang came to Slane in August 2007 to generally underwhelming reviews. The tour also included another record-breaking achievement. In February 2007, the band played on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro to an estimated two million people - the largest rock concert of all time.
