WEXFORD'S 20th annual antiques and fine arts fair opens next Thursday and runs through until late on the evening of Monday, October 28th. All proceeds will go to the town's opera festival, which is running at the moment. Among the many dealers who will be taking a stand at the fair, Carol's Antiques of Adare, Co Limerick, will be showing a very fine Regency brass-inlaid - rosewood card table, dating from circa 1815 as well as a Regency mahogany work table on centre pillar.
Walls Antiques will have another Regency table, Keating's Antiques includes a Chippendale-style suite from circa 1900 and Mrs Curran of Dublin will show a large selection of decorative silver. Derek Walsh of Dublin plans to offer an extensive assortment of operatic ephemera, while Walsh Antiques will include Georgian silver, antiques and coins. Upper Court Manor is showing furniture and Drinagh Antiques of Wexford is to display a large selection of Victorian china and silver plate.
