MAN arrested twice in one day threatened to burn a garda's house and to stab another through the eye with a syringe, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard.
Colm Griffin was "well known" to gardai and capable of carrying out his threats. It took four gardai to carry him to a cell in Fitzgibbon Street station, Garda Jim McDermott said.
Griffin (24), of Cannon Lillis Avenue, Dublin, pleaded guilty to attempting to intimidate one garda and resisting another.
Sentence was adjourned on bail to next December 12th to allow Griffin to undergo a residential drug course.
