Tugann sí le fios ar shuíomh Idirlín na roinne go bhfuil sí ag iarraidh 1,000 cainteoir líofa Gaeilge a chruthú idir seo agus 2015 agus tugann sí cuireadh do dhaoine clárú ar shuíomh na roinne, áit a bhfuil eolas faoi ranganna agus chúrsaí Gaeilge sa Tuaisceart – bíodh is nach liosta críochnúil é.
Deir Ní Chuilín: “I recognise that, in the past, Gaelic culture and the Irish language in particular, has been the subject of political disagreement and perceived as the preserve of one section of our community.”
Deir sí fosta: “However, I believe that the rich cultural and linguistic heritage on this island is something that we all share and something that we should all embrace and enjoy. Therefore, I intend to introduce measures aimed at de-politicising the Irish language and returning it to a status where it can be practised and enjoyed by people of all backgrounds and traditions.”
