Work Stations Computer Training has become the first Irish-owned firm to be appointed a Microsoft Authorised Technical Education Centre (ATEC). The endorsement will entitle it to offer a wider choice of training options to customers in Microsoft approved high-end courses.

Work Stations invested almost £100,000 in training and equipment to gain the Microsoft ATEC accreditation.

The company's managing director, Mr Peter O'Connor, said: "The market for Windows NT and server technology is set to explode in 1998. We can already identify significantly increasing demand for specialised technical courses based around server technology."
