Ulster Bank has launched the second series of its ISEQ tracker bond which is linked to the performance of the Irish stock market.

Investors can opt for a Secure ISEQ bond, which offers 100 per cent capital security on the fifth anniversary while investors can earn 70 per cent of the rise in the index over the five years. Those who do not need capital security can opt to earn the full index return over the five-year term of the bond.

"Given the weakness of the ISEQ index since the start of the year, it may be opportune to consider one of these options," Ulster Bank says. "Taking a five-year view, UBIM are confident that Irish equities will deliver solid returns for investors." The minimum investment in both funds is £5,000 (€6,348).

Meanwhile, the bank's investment management arm, Ulster Bank Investment Managers, has launched a new website at www.ubim.ulsterbank.com
