PASSENGER traffic through the port of Dover the UK's busiest sea port fell by 6.6 per cent in 1995, the first full year of Channel Tunnel operations, it was announced. Dover Harbour Board said 17,872,712 people had passed through the port in 1995. A total of 2,893,835 cars (down 10.5 per cent) used Dover, although coach traffic was slightly up at 158.167. Freight traffic was down by 8.8 per cent.
