Tennents Ireland hails decision

Tennents Ireland has welcomed the decision by Britian's Trade and Industry Secretary, Ms Patricia Hewitt, confirming that the company will stay in the ownership of Interbrew.

Following Interbrew's purchase of Bass Breweries last year, it will dispose of Bass Brewers' businesses in England and Wales while retaining the Irish and Scottish brewing and distribution businesses (Tennents Ireland, Bass Ireland and Tennents Caledonian Breweries).
