Twitter is continuing to build its Irish office with the creation of 12 new jobs focused on its European sales operation.

The social network, which has more than 140 million users, is seeking to recruit sales executives, IT and support staff as it expands its advertising products into new territories.

Twitter first launched its “promoted products”, which includes promoted tweets and trends, two years ago in selected markets, and now plans to roll out the products to The Netherlands and Spain to meet advertiser demands.

The company currently has a small number of staff at its Dublin-based international office, the third location it has opened outside the United States.
