Shareholders opt for scrip

MORE than half of Bank of Ireland's shareholders have opted to take their interim dividend in the form of new shares, saving the bank £4.4 million in cash. According to the bank, 16,122 shareholders (52 per cent of the total) opted for the scrip dividend.
