The eight finalists in the industry category of this year's Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award will each be profiled on RTÉ television this evening at 10.45.
This is the second programme in a three-part series of the 24 finalists in this year's competition.
The eight shortlisted in the industry category are: Lord Diljit Rana of hospitality and development company Andras House; Dominic Walsh, who runs MSO Group in Northern Ireland; property developer Michael Taggart of Taggart Holdings; Brian Irwin of baker WD Irwin and Sons; Edward Conroy of Westland Horticulture; Sammy Leslie of Castle Leslie Estate; John O'Neill, who heads retailer Heatons; and Gerard Cleary of dairy group Glenisk.
The 24 finalists are split into three categories: international, industry and emerging. A winner will be announced in each section and they will then compete for the coveted overall title of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
The awards night, which will be broadcast on RTÉ One, will be held on October 25th at the Citywest Hotel, Dublin.
