Age comes before beauty in Forbes Magazine's latest list of highest-paid entertainers with the Rolling Stones surpassing the Spice Girls in the earning stakes.
The ageing rockers, who earned £35.6 million sterling (£40.9 million), rank ninth on the list, with the Girls at number 20 with £30.6 million. Garth Brooks, at number 14, earned £33.7 million.
They all pocketed more than heart-throb Brad Pitt on £25 million at 30, and Titanic superstar Leonardo DiCaprio, who netted £23 million and is placed at 34.
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld, star of the sitcom Seinfeld, topped the list, earning £140.6 million this year.
