The final parts of the former Mr Binman waste collection have been bought out of receivership.

Quality Recycling Ltd, part of Wiser Recycling of Midleton, Co Cork, has acquired O’Meara Waste and Clearpoint Recycling. The businesses in Waterford and south Tipperary were bought from joint receivers Kieran Wallace and Padraic Monaghan of KPMG.

Wiser Recycling, which operates in Cork and Waterford, said the businesses would continue to trade as normal.

Last month, Dillon Waste bought Mr Binman’s operations in Limerick, Kerry, Cork and Galway. Bank of Scotland placed Mr Binman in receivership last October with debts of €53 million, but kept the business trading as a going concern.
