Digicel plans $250m private placement

Irish telecoms billionaire Denis O'Brien's Digicel today said it plans a private placement of $250 million of senior notes due for repayment in 2020.

"The use of proceeds of this offering will be for general corporate purposes, including potential acquisitions, future capital expenditures and debt service obligations," the company said.
