Readymix is understood to be considering paying around £20 million (€25.39 million) to acquire Northern Ireland sand and gravel group Finlay. Negotiations are believed to be at an advanced stage.
Finlay, a private company, owned by the Finlay family, has operations throughout Northern Ireland. It has headquarters in Tullyvanon, Ballygall, Co Antrim and also has a number of pre-cast concrete plants.
