Mr Colm McVeigh has been appointed director of major accounts at Oracle Corporation. Mr McVeigh has been with Oracle Ireland since 1994.

Mr Ray Walsh has been appointed editor of U Magazine. Mr Walsh is the first man to become editor of a woman's magazine in Ireland.

Irish Genealogy, the genealogy research and promotions group, has appointed Mr Eamonn Rossi as chief executive officer.

DMR Consulting has made five new appointments. Mr Kieran O'Hea as senior management consultant, Mr David Kaye to DMR's management consulting practice, Mr Stephen Burton as a technology consultant, Ms Morina Brady as business manager and Mr David Stringer as a principal technology consultant.

Jinny Software, the wireless technology company, has appointed Mr Llewllyn Farquarson as head of human resources. Mr Farquarson has joined the group from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr James O'Riordan has been appointed director of Vision Consulting, Republic of Ireland. Mr O'Riordan is a former software development manager with the Defence Forces.

First Polymer Training has made two new appointments. Mr Stephen O'Leary has been appointed training manager and Ms Karen Healy has been appointed project manager.

Goodbody Stockbrokers has made three new appointments. Mr Mark O'Donovan has been appointed head of the technology group, Mr Simon Howley has been appointed to corporate finance and Mr Neil Clifford has been appointed equity analyst.

Ms Julie Keating has been appointed senior account manager in the insurance division of the Search Group. Ms Keating is a native of Manchester who worked previously with Royal Sun Alliance.

NCB Stockbrokers has appointed Mr Henry Cleary to the corporate finance team. Previously Mr Cleary worked with KPMG Consulting.

Osbourne Recruitment has appointed Ms Catherine Carroll as recruitment consultant specialising in the financial services sector. Ms Carroll previously worked with Citibank Securities in the IFSC.
