ICAN, the online advertising agency, has appointed Ms Shenda Loughnane as media director. Ms Loughnane joins from CPD Advertising.

Mr Karl Sheehan has been appointed IT manager of Vantage Wholesale. Mr Sheehan joins the company from Yorkshire Water in Bradford, England.

O'Kelly Sutton, the international accountancy, marketing and management consultancy, has made three new appointments. Mr Brian Colleran has been appointed senior sales and marketing consultant, Ms Helena Grattan has been appointed financial consultant and Mr Karl McCann has been appointed research consultant.

Mr Joe Brosnan has been appointed consultant on European and government affairs for Arthur Cox. Mr Brosnan recently returned to Ireland from Brussels where he served as Chef de Cabinet in the EU Employment and Social Affairs Cabinet for over six years. Kodak Polychrome Graphics has appointed Mr Peter Blum as corporate vice-president and president, Europe region.

Buyandsell.net has made two new appointments. Ms Aisling Kilcullen has been appointed commercial manager and Mr Jas Rait has been appointed sales manager.

Punch Holdings has appointed Mr Gerry Lawlor as chief executive. Mr Lawlor joined the Punch group in 1986 and was appointed group general manager of global subsidiaries in 1995.

Ms Nicky Crichton has been appointed account executive in the marketing communications department at Fleishman-Hillard Saunders.

A&L Goodbody Solicitors has appointed two people to its tax department - Mr David Glynn and Ms Eileen Finn. IBI Corporate Finance has appointed Mr Leo Casey as manager within the company. Mr Casey has worked on a number of public private transactions, including private placements for Eontec, and Black Star Associates.

Eircom has appointed Mr Roger Fawcett as chief executive officer, Eircom UK. Mr Fawcett joins Eircom UK from Lucent Technologies, where he was vice-president of the messaging solutions division in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Mr Peter Nelson has joined Douglas Wallace Architects and Designers. He will head its new planning consultancy division.

TransAer, the Irish-based charter airline, has appointed Mr Willie O'Byrne as chief executive. Mr O'Byrne joined TransAer in 1998 as deputy chief executive.
