Pensions Board on the Internet

The Pensions Board has become the latest State agency to put up a site on the Internet

The Pensions Board has become the latest State agency to put up a site on the Internet. It includes basic information about the 1990 Pensions Act and the board, as well as an on-line version of all the userfriendly information booklets put out by the board.

These were just recently updated and are invaluable to anyone who has just joined an occupational scheme, has experienced difficulty with their pension, or who has become a member trustee. There is a particularly good section on interpreting information relating to entitlements.

More than 500,000 people are members of occupational pension schemes. The new Web page will be of increasing interest as more people get connected to the Internet, either at work or on their home computers.
