Paper criticises Hashimoto

Mr Ryutaro Hashimoto, Japan's prime minister, came under renewed attack yesterday from business leaders and newspapers for his management of the economy. "Prime Minister Hashimoto should step down. The market is signalling a vote of no confidence in him," said Mr Seiji Tsutsumi, deputy chairman of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives.
