O'Reilly buys Independent

Independent News & Media chairman Dr Tony O'Reilly has increased his stake in the group to just under 28 per cent after buying 200,000 shares in the market at €4.70 (£3.70) each. The transaction cost Dr O'Reilly £740,000 and his 66.9 million Independent shares are worth just under £259 million at the €4.70 price.
