TWO of Northern Ireland's biggest independent television production companies have joined forces following the acquisition of DBA Television, by Brian Waddell Productions Limited.

All DBA's existing programme production commitments, together with its programme library, will he taken over by BWPL, which will now produce DBA's Channel 4 commission for the film documentary Baseball in Belfast.

The distribution of all BWPL programmes is currently handled by its Dublin based associate company, Network Ireland Television, which will also take over the marketing of the DBA catalogue.
