IRISH company liquidators sometimes find themselves the focus of some rough treatment. Remember the time Laurence Crowley braved the wrath of the locals when the McCartin business went bust, not to mention the difficulties faced by An Grianan farm liquidator Tom Grace.
But spare a thought for one Haralambi Anchev, the liquidator of the Bulgarian Agricultural and Industrial Bank (sounds like a Bulgarian version of the third banking force so beloved of some in the Labour Party).
The bank was actually set up by businessmen close to the ruling socialist party and was put into liquidation after the local court found some "inconsistencies" in its list of shareholders.
Unknown assailants launched a car bomb attack against liquidator Anchev, who thankfully emerged unscathed.
