Mr David McKenna, a director with the recruitment firm Marlborough International, is considering taking up an offer to join the board of Grande Portage, the company which has put in a bid for Irish Fertilizer Industries (IFI).
Mr McKenna said he was asked to join the company by Galway entrepreneur Mr Declan Ganley but had not as yet signed up to anything. Last week, The Irish Times was informed by Grande Portage that Mr McKenna was a director.
The Companies Registration Office has not yet received an application for the registration of Grande Portage but a spokesman for the company said it was in the process of seeking registration. Mr Phil Flynn is chairman of the company and Mr Ganley chief executive.
