Dublin-based Pembroke Communications has gone west. The PR group has formed a "strategic partnership" with Slí Nua Communications, run by former sports journalist and founding editor of the Athlone VoiceLiam Horan.

Dublin GAA’s search for a new jersey sponsor to replace retailer Arnotts is gathering pace.
Samsung, Vodafone, AIB, Permanent TSB, Bank of Ireland, Axa and FBD Insurance are all believed to have expressed an interest.
The sponsorship carries a price tag of close to €1 million a year.
Dubs football boss Pat Gilroy is believed to be closely involved in the process. A deal is expected within the next month or so.

Claret Capital co-founder Max Doyle has resigned as a director and left his “day-to-day” role at the investment group, which is led by Domhnal Slattery. Doyle remains a partner and minority shareholder – he owns less than 10 per cent. He intends to pursue other interests outside Claret, according to the group.
With deals thin on the ground, Claret has trimmed its workforce of late, while Senator Feargal Quinn and his family recently took a 25 per cent stake in the business.

An auditor’s report filed this week for Seán Mulryan’s Ballymore Properties indicates that it made a profit in the year to the end of March 2008 – no mean feat given the slump in the Irish property market.
Ballymore is unlisted and does not publish full accounts, but auditors KPMG’s report states that the accounts give a true and fair view of the “state of the group’s and parent company’s affairs as at March 31st, 2008 and the group’s profit for the year then ended”.
