Lionbridge Technologies, a localisation provider for the IT industry, has acquired VeriTest, a leading US-based logo certification, verification and testing company, for an undisclosed sum. Lionbridge said the deal would allow it to offer a complete service to customers from localisation to management of software testing for certification.

Lionbridge, which employs 150 people in offices in Ballina and Blackrock, expects to double numbers employed at its Ballina facility before the end of the year.
