Imari, the Irish owned transport and port services group, has announced the sale of its air and ocean forwarding business, comprising the Translink group of companies. It has been sold to US group, Air Express International Corporation, for an undisclosed consideration. It has also announced the acquisition of Link Transport services, a Belfast-based warehousing and distribution company, through its UK holding company, Roadferry Holding. Imari employs more than 300 people and in the past toyed with the idea of going public.
