ILP Group, the Bray based computer packaging company which had its shares quoted on the London Stock Exchange last March, expects its new Leixlip plant to be completed by December. Building on the 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility has commenced. The development is being funded by National Irish Bank. ILP will initially lease the plant but it has a year option to purchase it. The expansion, said ILP, was in line with its programme of planned growth which had seen the opening of facilities in Germany and Malaysia.

ILP announced its intention of commissioning a new plant at Leixlip in March. It is designed to increase production and storage facilities. The new plant will be used to consolidate all its manufacturing facilities. Production at the Clonee plant, which is rented, will be transferred to Leixlip. Initially there will no increase in group employment.
