THE North Connacht Farmers Co-Op has reported a turnover of £170 million for the last year from £147 million in 1994.
Net profit before tax increased to £2.28 million from £1.57 million the previous year. The society's chairman, Mr Dan Gilmartin, said increased turnover and tight cost control contributed to the co-op's strong performance resulting in a substantial reduction in net borrowing. The society, he added, was now well positioned to undertake new investments.
