THE Belfast shipyard Harland & Wolff has won another order for a floating rig for the British oil industry. The multi million pound deal was secured despite competition from a number of other yards.

The work will take roughly six months, and involves the conversion of the 100,000 tonne tanker, the Glas Dowr. The order is in addition to the £100 million contract from BP for a floating oil storage platform.
