Fyffes appoints new finance director and company secretary

The board of Fyffes has announced the appointment of Mr Frank Gernon, FCCA, as finance director and Mr Philip Halpenny, FCA, as company secretary.

Mr Gernon (44) joined the Fyffes group in 1973 and, most recently, held the position of company secretary and chief financial officer. Mr Halpenny (45) was director of corporate affairs. He will, as secretary, be responsible for Fyffes investor relations programme. He joined the group in 1989.
