The Seventh Irish Forestry Fund has been launched and investors who are interested in getting involved must do so before April 30th. Investors can subscribe for units of £500 (#634) with some 3,000 shares available in the current fund which aims to raise £1.5 million.

The Irish Forestry Funds are now in their fourth year and have assets of £8.9 million under management for more than 5,000 investors. The seventh fund projects an 11.9 per cent annual return.

The £1.5 million being raised will be used to fund the purchase of land suitable for forestry in Ireland. Once mature, in 30 years, the forests and lands will be sold at auction. The fund will then be wound up with all the profits being distributed to the shareholders.
