THE Craigavon forklift truck manufacturer Nacco has confirmed that it may have to make around 40 of its employees redundant because of a fall in European orders, particularly in France and Germany. The decline has forced the American owned company to put on hold a £10 million sterling investment programme, backed by £3.3 million of support from the IDB, which it was hoped would create around 180 jobs. However, a spokesman for the company said that it was expected that the market would return to normal within a few months. Nacco makes two and three tonne vehicles under the Hyster and Yale brand names.
