Mastercard’s Irish unit reports big rise in revenues and profits
Newly filed accounts also show former parent gave subsidiary €130m late last year
Revenue almost tripled last year at Mastercard Ireland to €177.8 million from €60.5 million in 2018
Mastercard, which earlier this year announced plans to create 1,500 additional new jobs locally, recorded a huge surge in revenues and profits at its Irish unit last year.
Recently filed accounts show turnover at Mastercard Ireland Limited almost tripled last year, rising to €177.8 million from €60.5 million in 2018. The subsidiary attributed the jump in revenues to an increase in services to other group companies, which it expects to continue to grow.
