Irish IT consultancy firm Codec-dss is to create 20 jobs after it signed a major deal with a Polish based bank to provide data analytics.

The seven figure deal with PKO BP will cover strategy and business information systems, with Codec-dss providing business intelligence, planning and performance management. The jobs will be created as a direct result of the deal, and are expected to be rolled out over the next year. The company will be seeking staff in Ireland and Poland.

Chief executive Ronan Stafford said the banking contract was significant to the firm. "We have invested heavily in winning new business in the Irish, UK, Polish and German markets and our implementation and support teams have proven a key asset as they have provided an excellent service to both existing and prospective customers," he said.

Codec-dss has been in operation for 27 years, specialising in business intelligence, budgeting and planning, ERP, CRM, data centre and infrastructure services. It has offices in Ireland, Germany, Poland and the UK. It currently has revenues of more than € 28 million and expects to grow further this year.
