Wholesale prices for manufactured goods rose by 0.5 per cent in June, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office. June was the fifth consecutive month when factory gate prices rose, bringing the increase to 2.3 per cent since the beginning of the year.
The main reason for the June price rise was a 2.1 per cent increase in meat processing, 2.2 per cent in metal processing and 1.3 per cent in leather and footwear.
