Thousands of wavering Dutch voters surfed the Internet before polling booths opened on Wednesday, agonising over which party to back in a general election.

With just hours to go before polls opened at 0600 GMT, undecided voters jammed Websites offering electoral advice.

Dutch newspaper Trouw said its election site, which included a questionnaire, had crashed late on Tuesday as more than 70 people an hour sought to log on. It was forced to print the questions in Wednesday's early edition. --(Reuters)
