Electrolux, the Swedish owned household appliances multinational, said last night that none of its 90 Dublin based workers would lose their jobs in a global restructuring programme that will see the closure of 25 factories and 50 warehouses.
A spokeswoman for the company said that the restructure, which will see the shedding of 12,000 jobs worldwide, also offered the Dublin operations the opportunity to pitch for a proposed European call centre, or the firm's information technology centre. Electrolux employs some 100,000 people in 60 countries.
