DCC buys UK group

Industrial holding group DCC has acquired Thompson & Capper, a British manufacturer of tablets for the health supplements and pharmaceutical markets, for £7.5 million sterling (€10.4 million). Thompson & Capper, two centuries old, expects to record an operating profit of £1 million sterling (€1.49 million) in the year to March 31st, 1999.
