FEES paid to the five non executive directors of industrial hold ing group James Crean more than doubled last year, mainly as a result of consultancy payments to former executive director, Mr Joe O'Sullivan. Basic fees paid to the five non executives rose from £86,000 to £94,000 but "other" payments jumped from £92,000 to £327,000 reflecting Mr O'Sullivan's consultancy payments.

The four executive directors shared a total of just over £1 million - an average of £264,000 each compared to the £1 million shared by five directors the previous year. The main change was a jump in the annual bonus from £148,000 to £193,000.
