Council awarded judgment of €16, 801 against Fossett’s

South Dublin County Council has been awarded a judgment of €16, 801 against Fossett Brothers Circus.

It is the fourth time the council has been awarded a judgment against the family-run circus. Last year, the council was awarded judgments totalling more than €60,000 against Fossett’s.

According to the most recent accounts filed, the company behind Fossett’s Circus had a deficit of €186,348 at the end of April 2012, which was an improvement from the €230,579 deficit posted the previous year.

The company had net liabilities of €173,648 at the end of April 2012, with the accounts stating the future viability of the company was dependent on continued support from creditors, shareholders, bankers and the company directors.
