Costello to direct Dvblinia

The Medieval Trust has appointed Ms Suzanne Costello director of Dvblinia, the museum of Dublin life. Ms Costello will be responsible for the museum's operations, marketing and business development. She recently launched Wicklow's historic jail as a tourist attraction. Ms Tara Whelan has been appointed head of personnel and training by Scottish Provident, the mutual international financial services company. She formerly worked for IBEC and Ulster Bank. SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare has appointed Ms Fionnuala O'Malley product manager of analgesics, with responsibility for the Panadol and Hedex brands. Ms O'Malley has worked for Lion Nathan, the Australian brewing company, and Irish Biscuits. Ms Colette Harrison has been appointed managing director of DP Options Ireland, the IT recruitment group. Prior to joining the company, Ms Harrison served in the Defence Forces where she was the highest ranking female officer and was aide-decamp to the former president, Mrs Mary Robinson.

Mr Ian Pullan has been appointed general manger revenues for the Jurys Doyle Hotel Group. He was formerly deputy general manager (operations) of Jurys Hotel and Towers in Dublin. Mr Joe Russell has been appointed general manager of the Jurys Doyle Group-owned Berkeley Court Hotel, Dublin. Mr Russell worked for the Thistle Hotels group in Britain and has been deputy general manager of Jurys Hotel, Ballsbridge, for two years.

O'Kelly Sutton, the international accountancy, marketing and management consultancy, has appointed Ms Pamela Fay as marketing consultant. Ms Fay previously worked for V3 Marketing as project manager and was responsible for managing various projects on behalf of State bodies.

Mr David Hayes has been appointed account director to Edelman Public Relations' new Youth Communications Division which is targeting the 13-25 age group. Mr Neil O'Gorman is Edelman's new account director in the company's consumer marketing division and will continue to work on PR campaigns for such companies as Heineken and Smirnoff. Ms Ruth Jenkinson has been appointed account executive in the same division. She was previously public relations executive with Coolmore Foods, Bandon, Co Cork. Continental Airlines, which has been operating in the State for the past year, has appointed Mr Ewen MacDougall as sales manager, Ireland. Mr MacDougall was sales manager for British Midland Ireland for the past eight years.

Ms Geraldine McCarthy, the managing director of Corporate Image, has been appointed chairman of the Irish Institute of Sales Promotion Consultants. Sales Placement, the marketing and sales recruitment company, has appointed Ms Liz Leavy managing director. She joined the company's commercial recruitment division in 1993 and subsequently developed its IT recruitment activities before being appointed general manager. Baltimore International College, which provides training in culinary arts and business and management, has appointed Mr Kelly Massett as director of the college's Virginia Park Campus, in Virginia, Co Cavan. Mr Massett will have responsibility for developing the Park Hotel and student instruction.
