RetailParksA site for a major retail park on the edge of Waterford city is to be sold at auction on November 29th. Sherry FitzGerald Purcell is guiding €26 million for the 32 acres on a new outer ring road that runs for 7km from Dunmore Road to the Cork road. It is at the junction with the airport road, two miles from the city centre. The site is also close to Waterford Regional Hospital and the Ardkeen shopping centre.

It is owned by Waterford City Council and has a mixed commercial zoning. The city council has indicated that it would facilitate a mixed development that could include retail warehousing, offices, residential, leisure, motor showrooms, a medical centre, restaurants, hotel and business park

Des Purcell of the selling agent said the site was one of the most important development opportunities to arise in Waterfordin a long time.
